A proven, older guard at Gardner-Webb, O’Reilly’s calling card is his floor-spacing and steady two-way backcourt play: in the 2017-18 season he averaged 14.8 points, 4.7 rebounds and 3.8 assists while leading the team in minutes, and he shot 34.5% from three over his Gardner-Webb career with a strong 84.1% free-throw mark in 2017-18. He’s the kind of fit coaches love when they want a dependable organizer who can also punish help defense—more craft than flash, but plenty of competitive bite.
