James Thompson doesn’t appear to be a South Carolina Gamecock guard
The available records don’t support identifying a current South Carolina football guard named James Thompson, and the most relevant college-football roster result points to a different James Thompson at North Carolina. For a Gamecocks fit check, this means the player can’t be evaluated credibly from the information gathered; if the intended athlete is another South Carolina lineman, the name or roster details likely need a quick correction before a real scouting read can be made.
