WVU’s dual-threat QB who bent defenses with his legs and kept them honest through the air
Rasheed Marshall was a dynamic West Virginia quarterback whose game was built on toughness, mobility, and big-play threat value; in his 2002 and 2003 seasons, he paired efficient passing with major rushing production, including 1,616 passing yards and 666 rushing yards in 2002, then 1,729 passing yards and 303 rushing yards in 2003. He finished his WVU career with 5,558 passing yards, 2,040 rushing yards, and 68 total touchdowns, and he’s remembered as a record-setting runner from the QB spot who could break a defense’s math in a hurry.
