Rob Lee was a ball-hawking, academic standout for NIU at cornerback
In the 2004 season, NIU cornerback Rob Lee stood out as a playmaking veteran: he led the Huskies in pass deflections (9) and ranked seventh on the team in tackles (46), while also adding three interceptions in 2003 and earning All-Academic honors. The differentiator with Lee was range plus instincts—he wasn’t just surviving on the boundary, he was actively hunting throws and showing up in big moments. For a team, he profiles as a smart, dependable coverage defender with proven production and strong football IQ.
