Purdue’s name match is a former Boilermaker back, not the current RB profile you’re probably after
The available public data does not show a current Purdue football running back named Gavin Roberts; the clearest Purdue-linked Gavin Roberts in the record is a former Boilermaker who played safety and later moved to running back, appearing on Purdue’s 2008 roster and totaling just 1 carry for 7 yards in his college rushing log. He’s more notable for his behind-the-scenes performance work than on-field production, so there isn’t a reliable current stat-line or ranking to judge as a roster fit at RB. If this is the Purdue player you meant, the differentiator was versatility and athletic background—not proven game-day volume.
