Sariah Penese brings veteran guard steadiness to UMBC
Penese is a seasoned UMBC guard whose value is less about flashy volume and more about efficient, role-specific reliability: in her available UMBC seasons, she showed solid shooting touch and defensive activity, with career notes including a 43.8% field-goal mark in 2019-20 and a career-best five points plus three steals in one game. She profiles as a tough, low-drama backcourt piece who can help stabilize a rotation, defend with intent, and make the simple play. If a team wants grit, composure, and experience, she’s a fit.
