Georgia State’s All-Time Tackling Anchor at Linebacker
Joseph Peterson is one of Georgia State’s defining defensive players, owning the program’s career tackle record with 381 stops and bringing proven production as a physical, instinctive linebacker.[6] At 6-foot, 220 pounds, he combines durability, run-stopping reliability, and enough athletic testing pop to suggest he can play with urgency and range, including a 4.7-second 40 and 25 bench reps at pro day.[2][5] He fits a team that values a high-motor linebacker who tackles consistently, diagnoses quickly, and brings a steady, play-to-play presence rather than flashy volatility.[4][6]
