John Leilua brings old-school edge and early-career production to Weber State
In the 2015 season, Weber State DE John Leilua flashed as a physical, high-motor pass rusher, appearing in 10 games and posting 14 tackles with 1.5 tackles for loss; his high school résumé also showed a wrestling background, 111 career tackles, and 9.5 sacks, which tracks with a player built on leverage, toughness, and contact balance. He profiles as the kind of defender coaches like because he can play with effort and grit, but the publicly available information here does not show current 2026 production or recent rankings, so his most reliable calling card is his proven toughness and disruptive upside rather than a fresh stat-line pop.
