Efficient, physical forward who brings scoring touch and maturity to Furman
Van Rij is a high-efficiency Furman forward whose calling card is finishing: she owns a .502 career field-goal percentage, averaged 13.1 points and 6.5 rebounds in her best season, and has shown she can score without needing volume. Beyond the numbers, Furman has highlighted her as a decorated former player who moved into program leadership, which suggests strong basketball IQ, competitiveness, and buy-in. If you want a dependable frontcourt piece who can score inside, rebound, and fit a team-first culture, she is a strong fit.
