Morgan State DB Darius Johnson brings steady, veteran secondary presence
Darius Johnson is a long-running Morgan State defensive back whose value shows up in consistency, leadership, and experience more than splashy stat lines. In the 2016 season, he finished sixth on the team with 37 tackles and added an interception, and Morgan State described him as a steady, big-play capable defender expected to provide leadership in the secondary. That profile makes him the kind of DB who can help a defense stay organized, communicate well, and play with toughness—useful for a team that wants a reliable, high-IQ back-end piece.
