ODU’s high-variance righty with strikeout pop and real swing-and-miss upside
In the 2026 season, Darin Kuskie has shown both ceiling and volatility for Old Dominion: he flashed a career-best 11 strikeouts in a six-inning shutout win on May 1 and also logged a five-inning, one-run outing on May 14, but he’s had some rough stretches too. The 6-foot-3 junior right-hander brings size, strikeout ability, and a starter’s workload, which makes him intriguing if your staff wants upside over polish. He looks like a fit for a team that can develop command and ride a competitive, innings-eating arm.
