Mason Ligenza brings loud power and elite two-way production upside to Pitt
Ligenza enters Pitt with real middle-of-the-order juice: as a high school senior, he hit .448 with 11 homers and a .644 on-base percentage, while also going 7-1 with a 0.25 ERA and 100 strikeouts on the mound. Early Pitt notes also point to immediate extra-base impact, including all of his first hits going for extra bases and a reported 465-foot homer. The fit is obvious if you want a high-upside athlete with power, competitiveness, and a track record of producing in multiple roles.
