Yale's Iron DL with 19-Game Streak and Elite Tackle Intensity
Kirk Porter, the Yale Bulldogs' defensive lineman, stands out for his relentless 19-game overall streak (15 straight starts in 2006) and elite tackle production with 18 solo stops and 11 assists. Unlike many DLs who rely solely on size, Porter differentiates through explosive first-step intensity and a personality marked by unwavering durability—no recorded injury history in his streak. His on-field ferocity and coachability make him a perfect fit for teams needing a high-intensity, low-maintenance anchor. You should care because Porter combines statistical consistency with rare mental toughness, offering a blueprint for defensive reliability that stats alone can't capture.
