big-leg Wolfpack punter with proven ACC production
Trenton Gill has been a dependable, high-upside specialist for NC State, highlighted by a 2021 school-record career punt average of 46.3 yards and a 2019 season that ranked third in the FBS at 47.6 yards per punt[3][4]. He brings NFL-caliber leg strength, field-flipping range, and the kind of consistency that makes him valuable in hidden yardage. The knock is that punters are about precision and pressure, and Gill’s value comes less from flash than from repeatable execution—exactly the sort of steady, strong-legged fit teams like when field position matters most[3][4].
