VCU’s Defense-First Floor General
In the 2012 season, Darius Theus was the kind of guard coaches trust in big moments: a rugged defender, steady ball-handler, and proven winner who helped VCU win the CAA title and earned CAA Tournament MVP honors after a 16-point, five-assist, five-steal championship-game performance. Across his VCU career, he finished with 462 assists and 237 steals, ranking among the program’s all-time leaders, which tells you everything about his impact on both ends. If you value toughness, leadership, and chaos-creating defense, he’s your guy; if you want a pure scorer, look elsewhere.
