Northern Iowa’s seasoned, downhill back with proven production
Michael Gerrell has a track record as a productive runner for UNI, including leading the Panthers’ ground game in past seasons and showing he can finish drives in tough situations. In the 1999 season, he rushed for 392 yards on 80 carries with 2 touchdowns, a solid sign of efficiency and reliability. He stands out as a physical, no-nonsense back who can handle meaningful workload and give an offense some grit. If you want a steady, competitive RB who brings veteran toughness and isn’t afraid of contact, Gerrell looks like a strong fit.
