Ranod Smith brings speed, versatility, and slot-pop potential to USF
Ranod Smith is a compact, quick-twitch wideout for South Florida whose value comes from acceleration, versatility, and playmaking upside more than raw size. In his 2022 high school season, he posted 42 receptions for 542 receiving yards and 12 total offensive touchdowns in 22 career games, and he also showed defensive instincts with a school-record 99-yard interception return in 2021. He entered USF as a transfer and was listed on the Bulls’ roster in 2026, but recent public stat production at the college level is limited, so his fit hinges on whether a team wants a high-motor, gadget-friendly receiver who can create separation and survive contact.
