Noah O’Farrell brings starter’s grit and strike-throwing upside to SFA’s rotation
In the 2025 season at Wharton County JC, Noah O’Farrell logged 67.1 innings with 55 strikeouts and a 1.26 WHIP, then entered the 2026 season as a junior right-hander for Stephen F. Austin after transferring in from junior college. His profile says “innings-eater” more than flamethrower: he already has multiple college starts, competes deep enough to work 4+ inning outings, and has shown enough strike-throwing to keep games moving. The flip side is command and consistency have wobbled in 2026, but the durability and starter experience make him a useful arm if your staff needs a tough, competitive RHP.
