Eric Childress brings steady playmaking and sneaky scoring punch to UCSB
Eric Childress is a veteran UCSB guard known more for control than chaos: he’s a dependable facilitator, a capable outside shooter, and a competitor who built his value through poise, toughness, and two-way effort. In his senior season at UC Santa Barbara in 2016-17, he averaged 9.2 points, 3.6 assists, 3.3 rebounds and 2.2 steals per game, while his 306 career assists ranked among the program’s top 10. The fit question is easy: if a team wants a composed lead guard who can organize an offense, hit threes, and make winning plays, Childress checks a lot of boxes.
