Nick Ast brings veteran versatility and academic discipline to UTEP’s WR room
Nick Ast is worth a look because he brings proven game experience, having played all 13 games in UTEP’s 2021 seven-win season, plus a track record of reliability and preparation from Kansas State, where he earned first-team Academic All-Big 12 honors in 2019[1]. The available profile suggests a high-accountability player who has handled multiple roles, including backup quarterback duty, which points to football IQ and flexibility that can help a roster in subtle ways beyond box-score stats[1].
