steady, high-IQ guard with Naismith-level recognition
Stepherson was a durable, trusted lead guard for Boston College, starting all 31 games in her 2001-02 season and earning preseason Naismith consideration after averaging 9.8 points and 4.0 assists per game in 2001-02.[5] Her value went beyond scoring: she controlled pace, handled a heavy minutes load, and helped push BC into the NCAA conversation, while her five-year run was interrupted by a knee injury that makes her toughness and reliability stand out.[2][5] She fits best for teams that need a composed floor general who can organize an offense, compete hard, and elevate teammates more than fill a box score.[2][5]
