Marcus Alford brings proven NAU starter production and sophomore-year recognition to the Lumberjacks secondary
Alford has already shown he can handle a full-time role at cornerback, starting 11 of 12 games and earning Northern Arizona’s Defensive Outstanding Sophomore of the Year honor, which points to reliability, trust from the staff, and steady week-to-week impact. His value goes beyond box-score tackles: he projects as a disciplined, experience-backed CB who fits a defense that wants dependable coverage and consistency more than flash. If you want a defender with game reps, upward trajectory, and enough recognition to suggest real developmental upside, he is worth a serious look.[2][1]
