Dru Mathis brings veteran toughness and versatile linebacker instincts to Oregon
In his 2020 season at Oregon, Dru Mathis played in six games and finished with 11 total tackles, giving the Ducks a steady, experienced inside linebacker presence.[2][7] The bigger selling point is his profile: a long, physical 6-foot-3 linebacker with good size and room to keep adding strength, plus a reputation for veteran leadership and a high-intensity, team-first approach.[2][3] He also brought notable off-field polish, including strong academics and a law-enforcement-minded, disciplined mindset that fits a culture-driven program.[13][14]
