Aiden Kitchings is a hard-throwing NC State freshman with real swing-and-miss upside
Kitchings is a 6-foot-5, right-handed freshman at NC State whose best selling point is premium velocity — his fastball has been reported up to 98 mph — paired with a deep mix that includes a cutter, slurve, and changeup.[3][5] In 2026, he has worked 17.2 innings with 24 strikeouts, but also 16 walks and a 6.11 ERA, which points to raw stuff that still needs refinement.[1] What makes him intriguing is the combination of frame, power, and pitchability upside; what makes him a fit is his ability to miss bats, but a team would want patience and development time.[1][3][9]
