Wyatt Johnson brings size, experience, and versatility to James Madison’s secondary
Wyatt Johnson is a redshirt junior weak safety at James Madison (6-0, 205) whose value starts with versatility and experience in the defensive backfield, making him a useful fit for a system that asks safeties to be physical, disciplined, and assignment-sound. Publicly available team bio data is limited, so the clearest takeaway is that he has the frame and position profile of a reliable down-to-down safety rather than a pure coverage specialist, which matters for teams prioritizing run support, communication, and consistency.
