hometown Duck with veteran LB instincts and dependable run support
Blake Thompson is a Cottage Grove, Oregon, native who brings local pride, linebacker toughness, and a reliable football IQ to the Ducks’ defense. In Oregon’s 2011 season, he appeared in 10 games and finished with 5 tackles and 1 pass breakup, a small stat line that still hints at a role built on trust, assignment discipline, and special-teams value rather than flash. If a team needs a smart, physical, low-drama defender who knows how to fit into a system and compete every snap, Thompson is the kind of player coaches tend to love.
