Nebraska’s reliable walk-on guard who brought shot-making, hustle, and elite team-first habits
Justin Costello’s Nebraska profile is built less on flash and more on dependable glue-guy value: the 6-foot-1 guard earned Academic All-Big Ten honors in 2019, was named his team’s Lifter of the Year, and was praised for adding depth, shooting, and scout-team toughness after redshirting in 2017-18. In the 2018-19 season, he appeared in 10 games and averaged 0.9 points while providing low-usage backcourt minutes, so the real sell is his work ethic, strength gains, and reputation as a steady, coachable teammate rather than a stat-stuffing star.
