Veteran Rutgers RHP Jacob Pedersen brings bullpen stability and strike-throwing poise
In the 2026 season, redshirt senior right-hander Jacob Pedersen has been a useful multi-inning weapon for Rutgers, flashing swing-and-miss stuff and composure in high-leverage spots. He opened with scoreless, strikeout-heavy outings against Charleston and has turned in several efficient appearances, including 3.1 shutout innings with five strikeouts versus Wagner and five shutout innings with six strikeouts against Monmouth. The appeal is veteran experience, a track record of missing bats, and a steady bullpen profile; the caution is that he’s been more of a reliever than a rotation anchor.
