hometown guard with a knockdown touch and steady playmaking upside
Hawkins is a 6'0" senior guard for Southern Illinois who gives the Salukis a local, low-drama backcourt option with real shooting touch and point-guard instincts. In the 2024-25 season at John A. Logan, he started 22 games, averaged 7.9 points and 4.1 assists, and hit 42% from three while earning all-conference honors; in his first SIU season, he played sparingly but flashed enough to earn a larger look. If your team wants a smart connector who can space the floor, make simple reads, and bring hometown grit, Hawkins is worth a hard look.
