Reliable veteran TE with a blue-collar edge for UAB
In the 2013 season, Bud Pruitt was a 6-foot-3, 255-pound senior tight end for UAB who combined veteran size with a team-first, physical style and was expected to compete for playing time; his high-school background as a receiving tight end and later development into a more complete, hard-working blocker made him a useful depth piece rather than a pure stats merchant.[1][7][10] He produced limited receiving volume in 2013—just 1 catch for 19 yards—but the upside was his experience, toughness, and willingness to do the dirty work that coaches value when they need a dependable TE who can handle multiple roles.[8][13]
