Kainoa Davis brings youth, length, and portal upside to San Diego State’s defensive line
Davis is a Temecula product who arrived at San Diego State via the transfer portal after redshirting at Charlotte, and he’s listed by the Aztecs as a 2025-26 redshirt freshman DL at 6-1, 275 pounds. He stands out for his size, homegrown fit, and upside on a defensive line that needed younger bodies; one report noted he posted 18 tackles, 2.5 sacks, a forced fumble, and three fumble recoveries in his Mater Dei senior season. Why care? He looks like a developmental, high-motor interior piece with room to grow into a rotation role.
