veteran SMU edge presence with a solid, team-first profile
In the 2026 context, Cory Muse is a seasoned SMU defensive end whose value is more about experience and role fit than eye-popping stat lines: available stat pages show he has been part of SMU for five seasons and did not record a tackle, while older SMU coverage noted he was hampered by injuries early in his career and called him one of the most improved players in spring work. He profiles as a depth/developmental piece who can help with edge discipline, effort, and practice toughness rather than as a production headline-maker.
