In the 2025 season, Landon Kalsbeck arrives at Iowa State as a rugged, high-production linebacker from Dakota Ridge with a track record of tackles-for-loss, sacks, and championship-level competitiveness. He helped lead a 13-0 4A state title team, posted 111 tackles, 18 tackles for loss, and 7 sacks as a senior, and was praised for transitioning smoothly from outside to inside linebacker, giving the Cyclones a potential MIKE candidate with instincts, physicality, and vocal leadership. Early buzz out of Ames says he could contribute quickly on special teams or defense.
