Buffalo’s Workhorse in the Circle: Olivia Russ Brings Big-Inning Poise
Olivia Russ has emerged as Buffalo’s most reliable arm, logging a team-high 8-12 record in 2025 with 129.1 innings, 35 appearances, eight complete games and a complete-game shutout in her first collegiate win; she also showed swing-and-miss ability with a career-high nine strikeouts against Bowling Green and delivered a shutout of Syracuse in 2026. Her value goes beyond the box score: she handles a heavy workload, can finish games, and gives Buffalo a veteran-style presence in pressure spots, making her a good fit for a team that wants toughness, durability, and starter-level command.
