Sidney Otiwu brings proven tackling pop and veteran linebacking presence to Mercer
In the 2026 Mercer Bears roster, Sidney Otiwu is listed as a 5-11, 230-pound redshirt junior linebacker, and his calling card is still the same old-school goodness: physicality, instincts, and tackle production.[1] His résumé includes a school-record 21 tackles in a 2019 win over Samford, plus 93 tackles and two interceptions in the 2019 season, which earned him Second Team All-SoCon honors and a conference defensive player of the week nod.[2][3] If you want a linebacker who can find the ball, bring juice, and handle real contact without blinking, Otiwu is an easy yes.[2][4]
