old-school linebacker pop with coach-killer speed
James Staley is a classic “run through the wall” linebacker profile: Idaho’s recruiting notes described him as a 6-3, 230-pound defender with 4.55 speed and a player who “makes plays all over the field.” That kind of burst matters in a fit where you want a downhill tackler who can close space fast and play with edge. The catch: publicly available current-season production is limited here, so the strongest signal is his athleticism, physicality, and reputation for impact plays rather than a stat-heavy résumé.
