NC State’s Will Dabbs: versatile former quarterback with a rugged backfield edge
Will Dabbs has the kind of under-the-radar profile that coaches love: a 5-foot-11, 191-pound North Carolina native who arrived at NC State as a former four-year varsity quarterback, high-school linebacker, and wrestler, giving him unusual toughness, balance, and contact confidence. In the 2026 season, ESPN lists him as an NC State running back with 12 carries for 42 yards, a 3.5-yard average, so he’s more of a depth/role piece than a headline stat monster. He stands out for versatility, physicality, and a blue-collar feel that fits a committee backfield.
