Maya Linton brings UTSA elite on-ball defense and winning-impact grit
In the 2024-25 season, Maya Linton was a key two-way glue guard for UTSA, starting 26 games and supplying 119 points, 96 rebounds, 33 assists, 41 steals and 9 blocks as the Roadrunners won the AAC regular-season title. Her calling card is defense: UTSA and team coverage singled out her ability to bother top scorers, and coach Karen Aston said her effort on that end can be “the difference in the game.” She fits best as a tough, high-motor, low-drama winner who raises the floor of a competitive team.
