Four-star Missouri DB Roderick Campbell brings top-end upside and Power-5-caliber pedigree to Southern Illinois
Campbell arrived at Southern Illinois with elite recruiting credentials, including a four-star Rivals grade, No. 3 ranking in Missouri, and No. 19 cornerback ranking nationally, which signals high-end athletic upside and man-cover talent. Listed as a cornerback by SIU, his value is the combination of proven prospect status and a profile that suggests he can match up with top receivers and handle bigger defensive assignments. For a team, the appeal is clear: if he translates that pedigree onto the field, he projects as a difference-maker with starter-level upside and strong developmental ceiling.
