Evan Lopez is a big-bodied righty still finding his command at Morehead State
In the 2026 season, Evan Lopez has flashed the kind of size-and-arm-strength profile coaches like in a bullpen piece, but his early Morehead State results show he is still ironing out consistency. He entered the Eagles after two seasons at John A. Logan, where he worked 27 innings in 2025 with a 3-0 record, 5.67 ERA, 24 strikeouts, 15 walks, and a 1.44 WHIP. Morehead State’s own preseason notes singled out the need for him to find more consistency with his competitive pitches, which makes him a classic upside play rather than a finished product.
