Elon’s Hank Krift brings SEC-style frame, starter upside, and swing-and-miss flashes
Krift is a 6-foot-4, 215-pound right-hander who entered Elon as a highly regarded Kentucky arm, and his college track record shows the kind of starter profile teams keep betting on: in the 2025 season, he struck out 38 batters and matched a career high with five punchouts against Campbell[7], while Elon identified him as a returner to the weekend rotation in 2026[4]. The upside is real, but the 2026 season also shows growing pains, with uneven results and high ERAs in early outings[3][5][14]. If you want size, strikeout potential, and a pitcher who’s already been trusted in big roles, he’s intriguing; if you need immediate command certainty, he’s still a project.
