Karlis Silins brings pro-size, stretch-big versatility to FAU’s frontcourt
Silins is a 6'11" center/forward with proven international experience, giving Florida Atlantic a skilled big who can score efficiently, rebound, and play in pick-and-pop actions rather than just occupy the paint. In 2025 EuroBasket qualifying, he averaged 8.0 points and 2.3 rebounds for Latvia, underscoring a role built more on finishing and spacing than high-usage volume. His appeal is fit: he adds length, shot-making touch, and a mature pro game that can complement guard-heavy lineups.
