UMBC’s middle-of-the-order power bat with elite patience
Riggs is a proven run producer for UMBC, coming off a 2025 season in which she hit .343 with 11 home runs, 33 RBI, 31 runs and a team-high 25 walks, earning America East First Team honors. She stands out for a compact power profile that pairs genuine home-run pop with advanced plate discipline, plus big-game impact like a pinch-hit walk-off style homer against East Carolina in 2025. UMBC also listed her as a 2026 preseason All-Conference pick, which fits a hitter whose consistency and toughness make her a strong fit for teams needing a reliable, high-leverage offensive threat.[1][3][10][15]
