Elite Offensive Glass Leader with Unmatched Intensity for Saint Mary's Gaels
Eghosa Obaiza, a forward for the Saint Mary's Gaels, stands out as the league's top offensive rebounder (3.40 per game) and ranks third overall in total boards (7.5 per game) during the 2006-07 season, showcasing a relentless, high-intensity playing style that transforms missed shots into second-chance opportunities. Beyond her stats, Obaiza is a Sacramento native known for her fierce competitiveness, academic discipline (earning All-Academic Squad honors), and a personality that elevates team morale through sheer hustle. While she has a history of missed layups in key games (e.g., 0-4 shooting against Gonzaga in 2005), her defensive rebounding consistency and offensive glass dominance make her a perfect fit for teams needing a physical, battle-tested forward who plays with championship-level intensity and never quits on a possession.
