Matt Thompkins brings steady linebacker depth and game-by-game reliability to Jacksonville State
Thompkins profiles as a dependable, physical linebacker whose value comes from consistency, assignment soundness, and willingness to do the dirty work rather than headline-grabbing splash plays. Jacksonville State lists him as a linebacker, and ESPN identifies him in that role for the Gamecocks, but the available search results do not provide recent season-by-season production or rankings to quantify his current form. Based on the roster/profile data available, he looks like a fit for teams that want toughness, practice-to-game reliability, and a player who can stabilize the middle of the defense.
