Experienced Columbia linebacker with proven tackling instincts
Devan Luster brings a veteran defensive profile to Columbia, with a background that includes earning four football letters, first-team all-conference honors, 40 tackles, and an interception as a free safety before transitioning to linebacker. That versatility is the key differentiator: he has shown he can process the game from the back end and now bring that intelligence closer to the line of scrimmage. For a team, that usually translates to reliability, range, and a player who can handle multiple defensive roles rather than just one.
