Former Iowa QB Now Senior Analyst, Not Active Toledo LB
Jason Manson is not a current Toledo Rockets linebacker; he is a former University of Iowa quarterback who lettered in 2005–2006 and was elevated to senior analyst and assistant offensive coach in July 2025. His differentiators include a dual-threat playing history (QB and WR), a 50% completion rate with 442 career yards, and a transition from player to staff with deep program knowledge. He has no injury history as an active LB, and his intensity now manifests in coaching rather than on-field play. You should care because he represents a successful athlete-to-coach pipeline, but he is not a fit for your team as an active linebacker since he is not playing football.
