Howard’s Steady Left Foot: John Fleck Brings Clutch Special Teams Value
John Fleck stands out as a reliable, high-leverage kicker/punter for Howard, with evidence of big-moment impact and strong leg strength: he hit a game-winning 17-yard field goal to beat Hampton and later earned Co-Special Teams Player of the Week honors after averaging 45.5 yards on eight punts, a career best in the 2015 season. His value is less about flash and more about trust—he has delivered in pressure spots and can swing field position, which makes him the kind of specialist a team can lean on when hidden yardage matters most.[2][4][5]
