Godbee Brings Left Side Infield Pop, but the Bat Has Been Slow to Catch Up in 2026
Grayson Godbee, a junior infielder at Western Kentucky in the 2026 season, has the kind of frame and infield versatility coaches like, and he showed real bat-to-ball life in junior college before the jump to Division I. His 2026 line has been quieter so far—1 hit in 11 at-bats with 2 RBI and 4 strikeouts—but he already flashed situational value by drawing a hit-by-pitch RBI spot in a tight game and not shrinking from pressure. The fit is about projection, toughness, and depth at an infield spot rather than instant star power.
