Tomari Fox brings veteran size, disruption, and proven production to UNC’s defensive front
Tomari Fox is a physical 6-3, 300-pound defensive lineman whose best college tape shows real disruption: in the 2020 season he posted 46 tackles and 4 sacks, and in the 2021 season he added 25 tackles, 2.5 tackles for loss, 1.5 sacks, and a team-leading 6 hurries. North Carolina also listed him as an experienced graduate-student defender who appeared in all 13 games in the 2023 season. The big caveat: he missed the 2022 season after an NCAA suspension, so the appeal is less about raw stats and more about veteran power, experience, and the kind of tone-setting presence that helps a defense get mean in a hurry.
